Nancy O'Dell's debut job in the broadcast industry was as a reporter/anchor at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later became a morning news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. The stories she reported in Charleston concerning the lack of leniency by police in DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. It led to the state government imposing more stringent guidelines in these cases. It was reported that the Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years award in the entirety of South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for NBC's Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend anchor and a weekday reporter. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She's been a reporter for The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
